Adding Icons to Desktop

To do this you must either have Make Rox-desktop Permanent or run the Rox-pinboard from the fluxbox menu - WM's>Rox>Pinboard. Default puts a home folder on the top-left of the screen.

To add icons linking to devices, applications, folders and files to the desktop simply drag and drop from within rox-filer (files in menu).

Devices: eg cdrom and floppy.

Open rox-filer and navigate and open the 'media' folder. Left-click on the device and drag and drop to where you want on the screen.

Applications: This is a bit trickier as you need to know where the bin for the app is. Usually it is usr/bin.

Open rox-filer and navigate and open the 'usr/bin' folder. Left-click on the app (if there is a symlink one, choose this) and drag and drop to where you want on the screen.

Folders and files: The same as above.
